After going through the WhatsApp folder in sdcard I noticed ‘WhatsApp calls’ folder meaning…
It is Calling feature that WhatsApp is going to be rolled out in recent future.
Yes, WhatsApp will soon support free* calling directly from the app. Similar to Viber and other apps out in the market which are having this feature from quite some time.
It’s time that WhatsApp became the all round Communication app now. It’s time for the people who don’t have WhatsApp installed or are having unsupported devices to get a device that supports it and install WhatsApp and enjoy this awesome app.
And those thinking about the privacy, WhatsApp has also rolled out End-to-End encryption (Check out this link)
* – Not Yet Confirmed though if any charges will be applicable to calls to non WhatsApp users.
